Advanced Physical Assessment
In order to circulate oxygen and blood throughout the body both the respiratory and cardiovascular systems work together. The bronchi, trachea, and bronchioles are where air passes into and out of the lungs. Blood, on the other hand, will enter and exit the lung through the pulmonary veins and arteries, which are linked to the heart. The subject demonstrates how the respiratory system functions to deliver oxygen while also removing carbon dioxide. The lungs, trachea, pharynx, larynx, and nose are the major constituents of the respiratory system. The circulatory system, on the other hand, transports blood to all regions and is made up of the arteries, veins, capillaries, and heart (League & Hillyer, 2016). The assessment was smooth overall. Good communication was the key factor that contributed to the assessment’s efficiency. The client was keen on maintaining eye contact and provided detailed answers to the questions posed. It was convenient to glean critical facts from the dialogue that may aid in the diagnosis and treatment of any problems discovered. There was also enough time for the conversation to take place. All proceeded well throughout the assessment, and I would conduct the assessment in the same manner again. The fact that the client had a history of asthma yet denies any TB, shortness of breath, hemoptysis, and cough is one of the discoveries. The client also denied having had any purpura, anemia, blood transfusions and bleeding in the past.

 

The topic of the client’s heart palpitation was one of the questions that generated the most information. The inquiry was crucial because the responses would reveal the elements that cause the heart to race. Thyroid issues, particularly when the heart beats rapidly, such as in the situation of the client, are some of the symptoms to check for. Coughing was yet another question that yielded lots of information. The inquiry would next turn to the state of the chest and lungs. The physician can perform an electrocardiogram due to the palpitations. Through electric tracking, the electrocardiogram determines the heart’s rhythm and rate (Peritz et al., 2015).
Blood tests, echocardiography, electrophysiological studies, and exercise stress testing are some of the other diagnostic tests provided. COPD, acute bronchiolitis, dyspnea, and acute dyspnea on exertion, and are among the differential diagnoses. The importance of physical exercise, a fat-free diet, and asthma vaccine are just a few of the client teachings provided (Eggert, Eggert & Rodriguez, 2014). Other aspects included eliminating asthma stressors, taking medicine exactly as recommended, and resting. There is currently no necessity to give any medicine until a diagnosis has been completed. Nevertheless, there is a necessity for guidance on whether or not to continue taking inhalers for asthma.
Conclusively, the assessment exhibited outstanding critical thinking and clinical decision-making. As such, the investigation led to a variety of avenues being pursued a variety of reasons, including the discovery of complicated concepts. The assessment also identified and examined ideas to distinguish what is known from what is unknown, as well as challenges and concerns impacting the patients.
