Patient Preferences and Decision Making
Integrating patient preferences and values into a treatment plan of an Islamic patient significantly affects the care plan’s results. Because of the patient’s personal values, I decided to reschedule the diets and drugs. The approach enabled me to help the client adopt a treatment plan that improved the his mental well-being. Client satisfaction enhanced as a result of eating suitable meals and finding the time to worship. The healing mechanism was eventually strengthened as a result of the intervention. As a result, taking the patient’s preferences into account increased the efficiency of my decisions while dealing with an Islamic client.
Incorporating patient preferences and values can help to change the situation’s course. Better screening methods and health incentives leads a collaborative care strategy hence increasing patient satisfaction (Kelly, 2017). The rationale is that nurses and physicians seek out the appropriate facts in order to implement their care plans. Incorporating medical feedback further encourages the client to choose a healthcare regimen that best meets his or her desires. New research, for example, found that results valued by the actual patient are the proper care option for a specific illness (Kelly, 2017). Patients’ perspectives are taken into account by healthcare professionals, who develop individualized recovery programs that result in positive results. As a result, incorporating the patient’s preferences and beliefs increases the care approach’s efficacy.
Incorporating the patient’s perspectives and preferences, improves the consistency of EBP interventions employed in the healthcare environment. External data, scientific experience, and patient values are the three dimensions of the right evidence to use in clinical judgments (Ginex, 2019). In this case, a nurse should think about how people feel about a particular care method. The Acne Decision Aid’s strategy is a tool which incorporates therapeutic technique used to achieve the best possible results. Consideration of how a client thinks about a decision, for example, will increase their degree of compliance (Ginex, 2019). This argument implies that updating a patient’s viewpoints means that the treatment and healthcare interventions chosen are carried out. The technique improves the efficacy of therapeutic interventions in a medical environment. From a professional standpoint, I will use this judgment to tailor treatment to each individual patient.
