This paper reviews my experiences in the medical-surgical clinical with the NCLEX-RN test plan client needs and activity statements as a framework. I will assess my learning opportunities using the Safe and Effective Care Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Psychosocial Integrity, and Physiological Integrity test plan categories (NCSBN, 2023). The NCLEX-RN test plan will help me analyze my clinical rotations critically, which will help me determine my strengths and weaknesses. This structure lends itself to a wide-angle view of measuring the main nursing competencies I acquire through direct patient care. Applying all these categories and acts to my reflection, my readiness for practice will be enhanced. Linking my experiences with the framework of the test plan is commensurate to an all-round evaluation on my progress and readiness for the licensing examination.
