Drug addiction has become a worldwide problem, especially in teenagers. Many young people become dependent on different types substances and stimulating medicines that comes together with narcotic effect. The life of addicts becomes spoiled in all aspects. They spend lots of money on drugs, and then look for ways to earn money illegally. If we compare the health problems, there are many dangerous effects of drugs. This essay will focus on different types of drugs, the causes, and effects of drug addiction in different ages of people specially youth and the impact of drug addiction in our society. Drugs are used to cure different types of diseases but taking an overdose of those drugs for pleasure is called the addiction to that drugs. There are a few ways a person can take drugs, including injection, inhalation and ingestion. Cocaine, alcohol, heroin, marijuana, sleeping pills are the most common drugs taken by addicts. The drugs that are most used by young people are alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. Recently, more young people have started vaping tobacco and marijuana. Sometimes people become addict to prescribed drugs by taking overdose of that drug
