Synthesis of Comprehensive Physical Assessment of Tina Jones in Shadow Health A Comprehensive Assessment and Physical examination is a process of health data collection. It provides the opportunity to plan and conduct a full health assessment on a patient in a single clinic visit (shadow health 2021)Comprehensive assessments involves a detailed patient interview and head to toe examination to help identify any abnormality. It involves application of practitioner’s knowledge and skills to identify and distinguish normal from abnormal findings (Dains, Baumann & Scheibel 2019). It includes interview of patient or a caregiver as is the case with adults with dementia and for children. A comprehensive exam starts the moment the patient is within view taking note of signs of distress, habitus, manner of sitting and degree of facial relaxation (Ball et al, 2020). It involves an in-depth interview of a reliable source, including observation and different tests. During a comprehensive assessment, the practitioner is looking at the general overview of patient’s history, recent illness and health maintenances. In this case study, I completed a comprehensive assessment and physical examination on Tina Jones, a 28 year old African American female who had established primary care at the shadow health clinic over a year. The comprehensive examination is completed for her pre-employment. A review of Tina’s health history indicates Tina has been seen multiple times at the clinic prior to this visit for different reasons including laceration of her left foot following an accident at home, exacerbation of Asthma
