Self-reflection in recognizing personal biases and values in working with diverse groups of people.

In my perspective, I think I am mostly biased towards children who experience a hard time at home because of domestic violence and other home factors. I believe that every child should be able to get access to basic amenities such as food shelter clothing and even education. When the parents or guardians of a child are not able to provide these things for their child and constantly abuse them, then their children might end up in foster care while the parents address their family issues in order to ensure the physical and mental health and security of the child. Being able to help these kids is one of the reasons why I want to be a social worker. I am also swayed to this profession so that I can be able to fight for human rights of equality, especially in terms of racial discrimination. It usually pains me to have to see people of a different race being mistreated just because they do not fit into a certain race. I want to be an advocate for such people so that they do not have to suffer, and they can have a voice and make their plea heard
