The group therapy that has been demonstrated is that of “Interpersonal group therapy for addiction recovery demonstration”. The member who is taking part in this group is those that have issues of addiction. Each of the members is allowed to share their addition. The process is expected to help them to learn how others can handle their addiction and how the others started their addiction. The process helps in the determination of how each one of them can share their conditions and how the issue they are having started.
For instance, Jerry shares information on how he became addicted by stealing her mother’s medication. The counselor can encourage the members to share their information. The therapeutic process is carried out in a group process and this allows the addicts to have a chance to share information that they may not have shared with any other person. The group therapy demonstrated, in this case, is found to be effective in that each of the participants can participate.
