The state of Florida coalition is addressing the initiative of improving access to care (Quinn & Gualtieri, 2020). The senate and the house passed bills that will help 21.5 million state resident to access care from nurses with advanced education (APRN). Another initiative is transforming nursing education. Florida action coalition promotes professional development, academic education, and lifelong learning. This works for the enhancement of the nurses' competence in healthcare policy advocacy and patient care leadership to advance the health of the population in addition to impacting diversity, empowering leadership roles, and cultural competency (Gauvreau, 2019). Education transformation ensures that people can access high-quality and safe healthcare.Improved access to care has advanced the nursing profession because they have been allowed to practice to their full potential (full practice authority) where they need no physician supervision when providing care to the nurses. Thus, with the full authority of practice, there is improved access to care for the Floridians.
