The Texas State Nurses Association represents nurses in Lone Star State. The objective of the Association is to advance the nursing profession and promote safe, effective nursing care. The Association also promotes Texans' well-being by ensuring they have access to high-quality medical care (McBride, 2019). The Texas State Nurses Association is working on various fronts to improve the state of nursing in Texas. One of these initiatives is the development of a patient safety task team. 1. First Initiative: The Texas Nurses Association (TNA) is leading efforts to attract more nurses to Texas. Texas Nurses Association (TNA) members are working together to establish measures to expand the number of nurses employed in Texas. To promote awareness of the nurse shortage in Texas healthcare institutions and medical offices, the Texas Nurses Association is cooperating with the Texas Hospital Association and the Texas Medical Association (McBride, 2019).
