The approach I would recommend the executive take for achieving the best decision is consensus. Each
employee's opinions and ideas will be shared through consensus decision-making, and every employee
will feel they helped create a solution to the problem. Many people want their voice and opinions to be
heard. It is hoped that the consensus-based decision-making approach will lead to a more cohesive and
unified staff with all parties having an equal voice. The employees will also have a unique perspective on
the issue, which the executive may not have considered, which will improve morale and productivity
overall if the employees are allowed to speak up. All parties can support the outcome as it has been
