QUESTION 1: To what extent was the instructional systems design (ISD) model of training
and development used at the telecommunications company? If it had been used to a greater
extent, what would have been done differently? Comment on each step of the ISD model.
ANSWER 1:

The instructional system design model of training and development depicts training as a
rational and scientific process that consist of three major components need analysis, training
design and delivery and training evaluation. In this case study, the telecommunication company
face problem of decline sales. The performance gap begins here which create performance
problem both employee and supervisors to achieve the goals and meet the standards of the
organization.
The training department began using a needs analysis of ISD model to gather information
about the problem and the need for training. Moreover, the delivery cost of training was
considered by the organization while training objective, content and method was not considered.
Therefore, management took quick decision of purchasing training package from local vendor.
Further, after adopting wed based training method they have not evaluate the performance of the
employees which was one the main lacking point.

According to my perception, ISD model used by organization to some extent but not
properly because they have not follow all the steps of the ISD model specially the evaluation
