How Does the Affordable Health Care Act Impact Nursing Care?
The affordable health care act has a significant impact on nurses. It aims to improve access to health care by a drastic reduction of health insurance costs to make sure that almost every American has access to health coverage. In addition, through other provisions, the health care act of 2010 enabled families to include more members, extend the age of content to 26 for those still dependent on their parents and families were able to register freely for a low-cost insurance care package, and introduced penalties for those who had no insurance plan (Ginossar et al., 2019).

The introduction of this act increased the number of individuals who attended health care facilities for diagnosis and treatment. This had a direct impact on the nursing profession as nurses now had more active hours than before. This prompted a substantial increase in the staffing numbers for medical professionals. With the higher patient flows in hospitals, there was the need for a higher number of nurses. Hence, more were hired. There is also the need to educate patients on diseases and the most effective prevention and care approaches to help them keep safe and handle themselves if the doctor is busy; due to the higher customer rates (Ginossar et al., 2019).

What Is Your Opinion on The Affordable Health Care Act?
The affordable healthcare act is a brilliant project towards achieving universal health coverage, although with a few limitations which can be well managed. The healthcare plan has helped increase nurses’ demand, hence increasing employment rates for registered nurses. The provision of fining an individual who doesn’t have health insurance should be scrapped off. Many who don’t have a health insurance policy do not have enough money to do so and fining them would be illogical (Ginossar et al., 2019). Some individuals have to pay more, and companies are finding measures to reduce their payments to the insurance plan for employees. Although a good idea, the few limitations have made it hard for the project to be considered fully applicable.
