Nursing Leadership:  The IOM report emphasizes the development  of leadership positions for nurses that connect nurses’ capacity to lead changes into the new healthiness, wellness program. The Nurses on Boards Coalition was created to help meet this goal.  The coalition set an objective of having 10,000 nurses serving on corporate , health-related and other boards, panels and commissions by 2020. Currently 5,757 nurses who are serving with the boards have registered with the  coalition .  Nurses are identified as the leading  people who can maintain the feasible healthiness and also caring for the future healthiness of the entire nation. Nurses should be allowed to lead and manage collaborative efforts with the physicians and other health workers.
