Hello. My Name is Michelle Chavis/ My topic is Ethical and Policy Factors in Care Coordination. To explain it simply, it is the impact and effect of different policies and ethical factors in these regulations. To some it causes problems yet others say it is necessary. We will see this explained further in the presentation.
The American Nursing Association has legally declared ethical norms in healthcare practice to improve nursing care performance in Vila hospital. In recent decades, there has been a greater emphasis on care coordination and the factors that determine the quality-of-care collaboration in hospital environments. Poor healthcare collaboration can have serious consequences, which is why’s ethical concepts and regulations play an important role in care, supporting caregivers in determining right methods and make knowledgeable medical decisions (Kooli, 2021). The ANA code of conduct is comprised of nine sections that were modified to meet the evolution of health practices and caregivers’ responsibilities to their patients (Kooli, 2021).
There appear to be numerous things to assess when it comes to sustainable evidence-based strategies. The major purpose of this presentation is to show how moral codes impact care coordination processes and the government’s involvement in them. Nursing staff must be attentive while deciding on the optimal strategy because they are accountable for patients of multiple age groups, gender, nationalities, and psychiatric difficulties. As a response, a professional caregiver must understand a patient’s condition and deliver the best moral quality care.
To ensure successful collaboration and treatment continuity, all procedures in the United States are regulated by government legislation as well as ethical norms. In the United States, for example, the public and government have various rules and technical standards to aid nurses in adhering to high practice, such as the Office for the Aging. Even in recent times, the county has established a variety of rules and suggestions to increase these performances and ensure certified nursing administration and services. These principles are intended to safeguard patients’ welfare and interests while also making caregivers comfortable about implementing them (Tiruneh & Ayele., 2018). So, a reason, following this legal regulation is crucial to the operation of the medical company, as it permits caregivers to converse with one another. As a result, the regulatory regime considerably helps the group improve coordination and interaction to provide excellent care to the community (Varkey, 2021). The healthcare profession appreciates this plan and anticipates that it will be feasible for the organization in the future to achieve the best results (Suen, 2019).
Moreover, the administration’s most important Healthcare policy has an impact on treatment coordination and consistency in the United States. Eventually, the technique improved coordinated care and reduced the cost of the certified nursing facility. Medicare is a government plan that gives medical insurance regardless of income if you are 65 or older and have a handicap. Similarly, Medicaid is a provincial and national program that provides health insurance to people with low incomes. So, Medicare provides around 42 million patients in the United States that are unable to incur additional charges due to budget constraints (Tiruneh & Ayele., 2018). This ensures that financial help from these patients improves nursing facility quality healthcare. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) addresses patient care in portions on improvement initiatives, payment reform, and measuring benefits, and also particular concerns for patients with melancholy, full Medicare-Medicaid enrollees, and family medical participants. Policy changes under the ACA include barring insurers from rejecting services for post diseases, extending Medicaid coverage, reducing insurance prices, and giving incentives that provide healthcare coverage. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) restrictions have compelled clinicians to think more deeply about how sensitive information may be communicated to outsiders. As a result, practitioners should consider HIPAA standards to be broadly supportive of the exercise of professional opinion in delivering superior medical treatment. Even though not all components of HIPAA are ethical, the overarching aim of the HIPAA laws is congruent with the moral medical profession and operations (Suen, 2019). As a consequence of this broad convergence of professional and ethical standards, practitioners should focus more on using sound judgment in selecting how to reveal personal data, instead of taking the irrational position that privacy may never be compromised.
