NURS FPX 4030 Assessment 4 Remote Collaboration and Evidence-Based Care Remote Collaboration and Evidence-Based Care

In my talk I will address the role of remote communication means in healthcare as one of the most important elements of it. This method is an innovative way to bring healthcare professionals to collaborate on virtual patient cases. Technology is key for this process to work; it is the glue that brings all parties involved in healthcare together at some point. Ex. In Caitlyn’s case, a 2-years-old young lady with cystic fibrosis, remote collaboration can serve as a possible solution that can enhance her access to healthcare services and give support to her treatment. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth has gained significant popularity since it helps to reduce health care costs, enables better patient access to healthcare services, and improves patient care. (Kichloo et al., 2020).

The panel of doctors can lean on telehealth applications, the asynchronous exchange of data, symptoms, and emotions in Caitlin’s care. Moreover, the use of electronic health record (EHR) portals has given healthcare providers efficient ways to work apart and share vital patient pieces of data (Gajarawala & Pelkowski, 2020). Healthcare professionals will be able to leverage these remote collaboration tools, and the primary care physician will be able to synthesize the information they received from the experts and develop a coherent course of treatment for Caitlyn that will substantially improve her health and make it easier for her manage her cystic fibrosis (Kichloo et al., 2020).

Evidence-Based Care Plan and Patient Safety

    Scenario for Remote Collaboration

Caitlyn, a little girl aged 2 has spent about 30 days a year as an inpatient battieling pneumonia. Her health condition recently gave away a diagnosis with the said disease and thus the plan with her family that entails on how they will carry their healthcare process is in order. Caitlyn’s parents live too far away from the hospital, and because of their divorce, they seem to be even incapable to fix their issues. As a result, the Nurse Anderson and Dr. Copeland have analyzed Caitlyn’s medical report and thus developed a personalized patient care plan by taking into account Caitlyn’s family’s unique set of conditions. Our mission is for the family to come with improvements which are being followed easily and enabling Caitlyn to receive the care she requires with no hindrances. The plan calling for resource use to be optimised and exploring avenues to enable parents to provide better care for to their children.

    Evidence-Based Care Plan

    Evidence-Based Care Plan
The cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that mostly manifest in lung and digestive tract symptoms like recurrent lung infections, shortness of breath, and poor reduction of body weight (Blanco et al., 2022). When Caitlyn is a medical issue of a two-year-old with cystic fibrosis, telemedicine can be an ideal solution. Here is an evidence-based remote care plan for Caitlyn:Here is an evidence-based remote care plan for Caitlyn:

In this plan, it is hoped that Caitlyn will be taught to improve her case through the use of evidence-based strategies, the best of which are chosen. Care of Caitlyn will, therefore, be advantageously implemented through telehealth and remote cohort. Interdisciplinary collaboration is an essential means of controlling cystic fibrosis leading to quality patient care. Caitlyn will be under the medical supervision of a pulmonologist, physiotherapist, dietician, and respiratory therapist, and each of their respective members will work in cohesion in order to provide top-notch care to Caitlyn (Blanco et al., 2022). They will work jointly and utilize the telehealth partnership to interact with Caitlyn and her parents. Since telehealth allows the medical team to remotely evaluate and supervise the patient, the collaborative effort of the multidisciplinary team can ensure necessary and adequate tracking and progress evaluation of the patient with the condition.

Without any doubt, the VR pulmonary rehabilitation and physiotherapy will be used to assist Caitlyn’s recovery. During virtual sessions a physiotherapist will talk Caitlyn through exercise that to aid in her lung function and muscle strength improvement. The training will take into consideration her objectives and her requirements (Darabseh et al). The pulmonologist will pay due diligence to Caitlyn’s respiratory health and offer a medical plan including the right drugs and therapy. The respiratory therapist gives Caitlyn training in different airway clearnance techniques and also guides her through pulmonary rehabilitation process. Caitlyn’s dietitian will evaluate her nutritional status and create
