In no more than 250 words, discuss how principles of a Christian worldview lend support to legislative advocacy in health care without bias. Be specific as to how these principles help advocate for inclusiveness and positive health outcomes for all populations, including those more vulnerable, without regard to gender, sexual orientation, culture, race, religion/belief, etc.

Christians advocate for fairness in the provision of health care to all. The Christian view on human life is that all beings are equal, and they all should be treated as such. This principle supports legislative advocacy in that healthcare should be a universal gift for all. According to the Bible (KJV), Proverbs 31:8-9, the lowly, needy, and the poor should be loved, embraced, and defended as members of the society and fellow children of God. The church does not choose when it comes to who should be helped, whether social status, financial status, or influence in power. Legislative advocacy in nursing must be as open-minded and inclusive as the church. Through the idea of fairness and appreciation, the church supports fair treatment of nurses through offering them reasonable maximum working hours and adequate overtime rates; these would allow for a well-motivated workforce, hence, improved patient care.
