Introduction

 Riis’s photos were not taken to be artistic in any means or way but he was able to show the lifestyle that the families are living in with the use of “mirror with a memory”. He was in a position to bring in change for the betterment of the slums and was able to reach his goals. The other thing is that Riis was in a position to prove that pictures were telling the truth and that there is a need for ensuring that there was an uncovering of the truth. This included the personal perspective of a person and the steps that are taken in the expression of the photographic provisions. The information provided in this case helps in the provision of a clear picture of what is supposed to be done to determine the way that the photography is going.
