For a patient presenting this disorder, the following are the strategic therapeutic relationship procedures that I would employ in order to maintain this relationship. First, I would maintain professional boundaries. This means respecting the patient doctor privacy. I would ensure the patient has privacy, whenever care is being provided by a third party. Furthermore, I would have active, engaging sessions that will have me listening more to the patient through usage of scientifically and technologically approved methods of eye contact, active participation, listening and talking to the patient at a friendlier level. I will explain the need for us to have positive unconditional relationship, show empathy, and clearly communicate the problems, as we work towards solving them (Bolsinger, 2020).
