My current learning strategies entail a combination of auditory strategies and Read/Write
strategies. At the moment, I learn through auditory strategies that entail recording of information
in classroom lectures and holding group discussions with peers. Accordingly, I also utilize
Read/Write strategies that involve writing notes on main ideas and organizing charts. In this
case, I rely on vocal presentation of information by the lecturer and discussion of course
materials with friends. I utilize Power point slide presentations and accomplishment of
assignments. However, the VARK results indicate my preferred learning style as kinesthetic. In
this case, I consider kinesthetic learning style as multimodal since I can combine visual,
auditory, and read/write strategies in attaining my preferred learning outcomes (Gilbert & Kim,
2018, p 61). According to the comparison, I believe that I require skills-based and instructional
training in different settings in order to achieve my learning goals and accomplish lab
experiments with ease. My preferred style requires use of relevant examples and demonstrations
that are applicable to lecture content taught in classrooms (Cuevas & Dawson, 2018, p 42). In
addition, I prefer writing assignments, researching specific topics, explaining topics in group
discussions, and watching videos. The comparison indicates a failure to use pictures and graphs
highlights in learning. I have utilized videos and listened to lecturers in the past.
