As per the results obtained from the Clark Inventory test I undertook of my organization, I can certainly suggest that my workplace is somewhat unhealthy. One major reason for this unhealthy workplace is communication break down which has resulted in nurses being hesitant to bring up critical notifications to their colleagues and the management. Respect is also another issue with the workplace as nurses feel they do not get the same treatment as doctors. This has resulted in nurses’ decreased motivation, which has impacted their productivity. Additionally, lack of courtesy among employees has taken a toll on the organization’s performance. The lack of courtesy is seen where most of the employees are not willing to confront their co-worker’s bad behaviors directly. All these issues resulting from an unhealthy workplace should therefore be addressed to bring back the workplace environment into a healthy state.
In this case, the kind of change is defined as planned change.
Change that is designed has the aim of changing the current mode of practices in order to meet pre-determined objectives.
This move is evaluated to guarantee that the organization’s sustainability is not jeopardized.
Improved communication among workers, teamwork, and organizational consolidation are characteristics of planned change (Ballaro & Mazzi, 2020).
The scope of the change would encompass all divisions within the organization where healthcare professionals connect.
