After discussion with your preceptor discuss how leadership and economic models of a healthcare facility, optimize EBP to improve patient outcomes It is important to understand how the leaders in the health care facility promote EBP and thus improve outcomes. Those who are in a leadership capacity know how important use of EBP can be. They use their experience in observing the usefulness of EBP to create an environment that fosters implementation of EBP (Sevy Majers & Warshawsky, 2020). Those who encourage their coworkers or fellow employees to question and identify areas that could use development, research, and are accepting of changes to practice develop heath care settings that improve patient outcomes. Economic models are put into place to help control spending that is not necessary and causes the patient or health care setting to ultimately foot the bill (Pilakos, 2021). By analyzing the different economic models it is possible to help reduce unnecessary spending and wasteful uses of materials, as well as changing of behaviors that create increased health costs. Formulating economic models and sticking to them helps to improve the patient outcome as it reduces the unnecessary spending and behaviors that could negatively impact the patient. References
