As a nurse, the interviewee’s job is to do physical exams and get health histories before making important decisions. She works to improve health by giving advice and teaching people. She also gives medications and other individualized treatments and works with a wide range of healthcare professionals to make sure care goes smoothly.
Before creating a treatment plan, the interviewee consulted with patients to determine their needs and preferences. The nurse said the hospital’s extensive team of specialists must collaborate to provide the best care. She claims the organization is unaware of the issue of falls because it focuses on patient health. The nurse claimed that interprofessional cooperation is not prioritized in the medical setting, and professionals lack funding to develop the necessary skills. She also mentioned that working on an interdisciplinary team helped her focus on the most pressing workplace issues and taught her the value of teamwork.
According to the interview data, the problem necessitating an interdisciplinary approach is the absence of a precise system for managing patient situations leading to “falls” issues. Since falls are healthcare complications, nursing professionals must adopt a collaborative strategy towards coordination of departmental and individual patient handling. Interdisciplinary work can analyze and explain the effects of falls as an aspect of aimlessness since it requires specialists to collaborate and work toward common objectives (O’Hare, 2020). The interdisciplinary approach is suitable because the identified issue, the fall, is linked to a positive treatment outcome.
