Explain the policy or regulation. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) safeguards personal health records from the general population (Hui et al., 2012). The program encourages protected healthcare professionals to make themselves available to customers, allowing them the choice of disclosing medical records to support both the healthcare institution and the patients. Payment, health-care procedures, and overall patient experience can all be reasons for sharing details.

It defends from various violations, such as healthcare records, which may have personal and social consequences for patients and their families (Hui et al., 2012). Significant sums of money may be lost as a consequence of the irregularities, impacting both the healthcare company and Wall Street investors. Using artificial learning, the application assures the security and control of confidential information and records, anonymizing healthcare genetic information, preventing information leakages, and preserving utility.
The impact of the policy or regulation on clinical care, patient/provider interactions, and workflow. The HIPAA Act protects all healthcare professionals and patients’ personal records (Rouse, 2017). Via preparation and coordination, daily auditing execution, supervision and tracking, periodic staff assessment, reacting, and avoiding accidents and discrepancies, the policy provides the requisite responsibility of healthcare adherence and administration (Iyiewuare et al., 2018). Furthermore, the patients’ communications would be protected, with the patients being made mindful of the key goal of encryption, preserving and respecting both the organization’s and the client’s safety (Drolet et al., 2017). For delivery to healthcare customers, a privacy practice note will be posted and distributed in all healthcare agencies, divisions, and websites.
