Language used when discussing mental health and people suffering from mental health issues directly impacts and influences on the relationships they have and also the quality of life experienced. A negative tone or language used impacts negatively on the lives of both those who use it and the patients. A positive reference or reaction improves the perception the individual has on about the world, thus, increase satisfaction and happiness, thus, faster healing. Positive reaction makes them feel accepted while negative reactions make people with mental health issues feel rejected and isolated, thus, putting them through mental anguish (Fox et al., 2021).
