The presence of the family members during resuscitation or invasive procedures on children is a new concept that more and more hospitals in the world are introducing in their everyday clinical practice. It is defined by Emergency Nurses Association as the attendance of the family members in a location that affords visual and physical contact with the patient (ENA, 2012).
