Using the PICO approach, the AU Libraries provide various databases that can help you identify evidence-based research papers and answer clinical queries. Following the development of your PICO question, proceed with the following stages to create a search strategy: Take into account all viable terms for your issue, including synonyms. To combine synonyms and extend your search, use the Boolean operator OR. To refine your search, use the Boolean operator AND to look for the intersection of the terms. Try alternative phrase combinations, especially if your results are limited. Examine search results and critically evaluate retrieved publications. Consider utilizing limiters for publication kinds, age, human, and evidence-based practice, among other things. Refine your search as needed. Remember that the more terms you add, the narrower your results will be!!
