How to write An annotated bibliography

An annotated bibliography is a descriptive list of materials (books, articles, videos, sound recordings, Web sites, etc.) about a specific topic. An annotated bibliography includes a full citation as well as a commentary that might range from a few sentences to many pages. The citation includes information about the item's author, title, date, source, and publisher. Citations should be formatted in the APA style. An annotation is a brief and useful description of a resource's contents that summarizes and evaluates it. It is not the same as an abstract, which simply summarizes the original information. An annotation typically strikes a balance between summary and evaluation by addressing the following: Describe briefly the content of a resource Evaluate the item's usefulness for the specific topic being examined Describe the methodology that was employed. Draw emphasis to any themes that are mentioned. Highlight your advantages and disadvantages. Discuss the author's or source's dependability. Examine the content for accuracy, bias, and authority.
