This is an in-depth and compelling post. Indeed ethical landscape has greatly evolved and today our responsibility for ethical behavior stresses the humane treatment of patients. Ethics within nursing is crucial because nurses often encounter dilemmas, and make decisions and judgments while ensuring they do not breach operational nursing laws (Butts & Rich, 2022). Ethical practice is a basis for nurses, who face ethical challenges daily. Ethical dilemmas are frequent in nursing practice and sometimes they contradict the Code of Ethics. However, nurses should always strive to find balance while providing care services to patients. Compliance with ethical standards based on nursing values and the Code of Ethics lowers the degree of organizational risk and elevates performance (Beykmirza et al., 2019). Ethical values and standards assist nurses to establish how things should be done. They guide nursing practices, behaviors, and interactions within the organization. Effective ethics development initiatives help nurses to make sense of organizational values, develop ethical problem-solving skills, and create awareness of ethical responsibility.
