As stated before, 45% of uninsured adults sated they were uninsured due to the cost of coverage. Some who qualify for coverage or assistance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) may not know they can get help. Studies have shown that those who do not have insurance do not seek preventative care and services for major health conditions and chronic diseases. One in five uninsured adults went without needed medical care due to cost in 2018. E.
