Answer 3 for DNP 820 Compare and contrast qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research

I agree with you that in research everything is always prepared and planned from data collection to decision-making. Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods are the three approaches to research (Gueguen et al., 2021). The different methods of research can be applied in different situations based on suitability. Qualitative study revolves around the research question. The emerging questions and procedure generate a scientific protocol in qualitative research. It is an approach to understanding and exploring the meaning of a problem. Therefore, resources are directed towards disclosing much information about the issue. Quantitative study on the other hand focuses on the relationship between independent and dependent variables (Denham et al., 2022). The connection between variables plays an important role in explaining research findings. The outcome of the quantitative research may be compile as a report. Tabulation, numbers, and graphic images can be used to present quantitative research findings. Mixed research allows researchers to use qualitative and quantitative studies together. Therefore, different studies complement each other in mixed research.
